Production Chemist II
Job DescriptionJob DescriptionProduction Chemist II needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh Scientific’s client located in Portland, Maine.
This position is for a molecular diagnostics manufacturer and the team is looking for candidates with a BS degree in life science with 4-7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment formulating products.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm.
Responsibilities
Perform product manufacturing in cell culture and protein purification, material planning for production builds and work with R&D on transferring new products into development. Make products per Standard Operating Procedures. Troubleshoot manufacturing issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a life science or related field.
- 4-7 years working in a general manufacturing environment formulating products in the areas of biological sciences, life sciences, or an equivalent.
- Experience working in a GMP manufacturing environment .
- Lead chemist experience .
- Experience leading teams or projects.
- Solid computer skills.
