Job Role: Production Engineer / Estimator \n\nLocation: Sheffield \n\nShift: Days regular\n\nSalary: £25k - £30k + dependant on experience\n\nMetalis is currently working with a prestigious manufacturing company who are based in Sheffield, who are involved in the manufacturing of Stainless Steel Components. The company are looking to hire a Production Engineer / Estimator on a permanent contract.\n\nJob Role:\n\nProgrammer - Interpret customer requirements from engineering drawings, sketches, and written/verbal descriptions. \nUse Sigma nest to design, arrange, verify, and price laser cut parts for the sales team\nNesting Parts for laser cutting.\nCreate and edit Assemblies in SigmaNEST effectively.\nEstimator / Sales Support - Understand customer needs from drawings, sketches, and descriptions.\nCheck customer credit limits and work with Accounts or directors if there is an issue.\nMaintain and file all paperwork according to quality standards.\nStock Management - Use Sigma MRP to enter book material into the company's stock management system.
\nAdd necessary details for material on the computer systems, like Size, Grade, Cast.\nAccurately attach test certificates to the company's MRP/ERP computer system.\nAssist the management team to deliver training to ensure smooth roll out of the Sigmatek MRP system.\nAssist with the transport process to ensure on time in full deliveries.\nFollow Quality procedures laid down in the Management Manual.\nJob Requirements:\n\nExperience in CAD / Lantec - highly desired and will be trained within companies in house software. \nCommunicate professionally and accurately with customers, Suppliers, and team members across all business functions.\nTeamwork is crucial for the business to succeed.\nFollow Health and Safety procedures and work in such a manner to maintain the safety of yourself and others laid down in the Management Manual\nShifts & Salary:\n\nDays Regular\nMonday - Friday - early finish Fridays\n£30k or DOE\n\nBenefits\n\nHealth Cover - Including Optical & Dental Care, Therapy Treatments and Health Screenings\n24/7 GP Access\nGym Discounts\nPension Scheme \n\nIf this vacancy sounds of interest please apply today and one of our consultants will be in touch with suitable applications
