Production Operator

We are looking for energetic individuals to join our growing team, in a state-of-the-art fabrication facility, in Madison, Ga., as a Production Operator in the manufacturing of our commercial steel doors, custom steel frames.and associated sheet metal fabrication.
Ideal individuals will be instructed in set up, operation and control of a variety of production equipment as well as hands on instruction in multiple sheet metal fabrication techniques. Those individuals possessing prior technical, mechanical, or sheet metal fabrication in a production environment will be given strong consideration.
We will provide On-the-job training (OJT) in a safe and team-friendly work environment for the right candidates.
General Responsibilities
- Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start and maintain a production cycle
- Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed and function)
- Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines
- Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools
- Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws
- Keep records of approved and defective units
- Ability to read tape measure, blueprints and some schematics
Skills
- Practical experience as a machine operator, preferably in the sheet metal industry
- Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer etc.)
- Detail oriented, task driven with pace of work in mind
- Team first mentality with excellent communication skills
- HS diploma or equivalent, technical school or degree a plus’
Physical Requirements”
Operator’s may also be required to bend, stretch, push, carry heavy objects and stand or sit in certain areas or positions for long periods of time. They may be required to work in hot and or humid conditions, based on given work area(s). They may also be required to work in areas where chemicals, solvents and adhesives are used on a constant basis, (PPE will be provided). They must be able to lift a minimum of (60) lbs. on a consistent basis.
Typical Hours of Operation:
Monday-Thursday 7:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
Friday: (Voluntary OT as needed)
