Production Operator
Job Title: Production OperatorJob DescriptionAs a Heat Treat Operator, you will be responsible for working in an outdoor/covered area, managing a very large 'oven' to fold aluminum wire and prepare it before loading into the machine. You will also be required to dip wire into water as part of the process. Select, align, and secure holding fixtures and/or cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and material to machines. Start and observe machine operation during first part production to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions. Adjust machine controls or other control media as required. Set-up and operate machines such as hydraulic shear, chop saw, and forklift. Use gauges, scales, calipers, mylars, blueprints, customer tools, and other measuring equipment to check first part quality. Track times of each oven run (typically 45-55 mins) and input data into the computer.Schedule5:00am-1:30pm / Monday -FridayEssential Skills 1-2 years of construction and/or heavy production experience. Ability to lift up to 50lbs. Mechanically inclined. Ability to use hand and power tools. Proficient in using a tape measurer. Ability to accurately tell time and calculate the addition of time (e.g., 8:18am 45 min cycle run 9:03am).Additional Skills & Qualifications Flexibility to work additional hours as required. The operator must function as a productive, contributing, and responsible member of their work team, supporting our commitment to total customer satisfaction. The role may involve using a forklift and other material handling equipment.
