for our Plant at Gateshead, we are looking for a production planner, reporting into the Operations Manager.

The purpose of this role is to organize production plans according to demand and quality standards. The production planner will assume responsibility to manage and maintain the production plans to ensure our goods are produced on time for distribution in a profitable manner to achieve customer demand. This role is key to ensuring the smooth and cost-efficient operation of our production processes.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Coordinate production workflow for multiple products over various Machinery.
• Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimise delays
• Determine manpower, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demand
• Schedule shift according to production needs and customer commitment Dates.
• Monitor jobs to ensure they will finish on time and within budget
• Address issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption, looking forward to plan accordingly .
• Obtain output information (number of finished products, percentage of defectives etc.)
• Prepare and submit status and performance reports
• Administrative tasks
• Collaborate with all departments to ensure any changes to plans are communicated and managed effectively.

Required Skills:

• Experience in a fast paced production planning role
• Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles
• Experience in MRP II (Manufacturing resource planning)
• Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills and Flexibility .
• Excellent communicator
• Experience with planning nested trays and punnet forming machinery will be an advantage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Strong stakeholder management
• Able to prioritise in a fast paced environment where commitments may regularly change through the shift .
• Pro-active with a can-do attitude
• Works well in a team or equally unaided
