PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:
Plan, communicate and monitor the flow of products through the production cycle to achieve the optimal balance of product availability, inventory turns, and financial goals.
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITY:
- Utilize ERP/MRP system to improve the overall planning process.
- Utilize forecast data to determine run sizes factoring in operational and warehouse capacity
- Analyze and recommend staffing, equipment, and raw materials needed to cover production demand
- Determine the manufacturing facility that best fits SCT’s equipment and manufacturing strategy
- Support the board purchasing/planning where needed
- Manage the planning of purchased finished goods, working closely with SCT Global and our Purchasing team
- Communicate with Demand Planning when irregular order patterns are identified
- Partner with the scheduling and operations team to ensure Planning is presenting a plan that is attainable and meets Company objectives
- Prepare and submit status and performance reports
- Contribute to the S&OP process through data preparation, etc.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement projects
- Participate in IT improvement projects with a focus on planning
- Lead various data tracking and gathering initiatives
- Cross-train and fill in for others in the department as well as Production Scheduling
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Minimum three years experience in production scheduling, Planning, and logistics, understanding of supply chain and manufacturing process. Proficient in MS Office applications - Word, Outlook, Excel, experience with ERP, MRP, or other scheduling systems software. Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain or a related field.
SKILLS: Must have the ability to read and understand complex documents, letters, etc. and write legibly in English. Must be able to understand and speak clearly, and communicate in English.
