Production Process Engineer

Manpower is recruiting a Process Engineer with our client who are a leading producer of agri products operating from one of the largest plants of its kind in Europe.



The Process Engineer will optimise and improve production processes, providing technical support to production staff to increase efficiency and meet performance targets.



Suitable candidates will need production process experience and be qualified in Engineering, Manufacturing or similar Electrical/ Maintenance discipline.



Monday to Friday shift rotations covering days 7am - 3pm and evenings 2pm - 10pm, with shift premium bringing your salary to £48k



The Role



Provide technical support to production team staff

Co-ordinate process related fault finding and issue resolutions

Utilise lean techniques, experience and knowledge to enhance manufacturing processes by improving yield, quality, throughput and productivity

Work with the production team to drive efficiency within manufacturing & operational processes

Monitor efficiency of production output and swiftly react to resolve any negative trends

Participate in and lead continuous improvement projects throughout the mill

Liaise with contractors when required to solve problems and develop processes

Actively participate in the planning and implementation of capital improvement projects

Work across various departments to achieve management objectives and targets

Provide support and training to the operations team as required

Review improvement of equipment, process control sequencing and operating procedures

Train production operators to improve their process knowledge and technical problem-solving skills



What we are looking for



HNC qualified Engineering discipline OR a time served Maintenance Technician

Relevant process engineering experience ideally in a Food/ FMCG setting

Knowledge of production processes, continuous improvement and OEE

Knowledge of PLC's, engineering systems such as variable speed drives, SCADA

Driven to achieve targets and can lead others implementing improvements or positive changes
