Production Supervisor

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Production Supervisor plans, directs and controls all production activities. He/she must ensure a regular presence on the production floor, analyze problems and proactively implement solutions. Working with the plant manager, he/she ensures that objectives are met and follows up on health and safety, quality and compliance with proper work procedures while simultaneously insuring compliance with the company ERP program through his/her staff and hands on usage.
DETAILED TASKS (not limited to):
- Supervise a work team (organization, planning, control, mobilization, communication, leadership, coaching, discipline)
- Plans and implements changes to machinery and equipment, production system and work methods.
- To ensure greater efficiency in production and thus reduce losses.
- Resolve unforeseen situations and routine problems related to the performance of their duties.
- Evaluate the performance and effectiveness of employees under his/her jurisdiction and see to their development so that they become more autonomous and responsible. Establish individual responsibilities.
- Ensure the cleaning of equipment and maintenance of work areas.
- Coordinate tasks with the payroll and human resources department for hiring, termination and weekly timesheets. Follow up with employees when necessary.
- Communicate and interact with other departments.
- All other related tasks.
REQUIRED TRAINING:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
REQUIREMENTS & PREREQUISITES:
- Minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Bilingualism essential (French/Spanish and English)
- Proficiency in Windows environment, Microsoft Office suite, and ERP systems
- Leadership, good communicator
- Strong problem-solving skills, excellent sense of urgency and good priority management
- Interpersonal skills
