Production Supervisor

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Supervisor to lead our manufacturing team in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and have a proven track record in supervising production operations within a manufacturing facility or warehouse setting. This role is critical in ensuring efficient assembly line processes, maintaining quality standards, and fostering a safe working environment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Supervise daily production activities and manage workflow on the assembly line to meet production goals.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate team members on the proper use of hand tools, power tools, and machinery.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies while promoting a culture of safety among staff.
  • Monitor equipment performance, conduct regular inspections, and coordinate maintenance as needed.
  • Assist in the fabrication of products by overseeing assembly processes and ensuring quality control measures are met.
  • Maintain accurate records of production metrics and report on performance to upper management.
  • Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet company goals and deadlines.
  • Monitor production schedules and adjust resources to maximize efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records of production data, including inventory, downtime, and equipment usage.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues to minimize downtime and ensure quality.
  • Enforce company policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and clean work environment.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies for increased efficiency and cost savings.

Skills/Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or factory environment.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various types of machinery, including forklifts.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with team members at all levels of the organization.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is a plus.
  • Prior experience in the chemical industry is required.
  • Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong understanding of production processes, including safety protocols and quality control.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems for production tracking and reporting.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical or managerial certifications are a plus.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts and overtime as needed.

Pay: $27.00 - $31.00 per hour
