Production Supervisor

Job Overview\n\nReporting to the Head of Production you will be responsible for leading the manufacturing operational processes through the warehouse/factory team ensuring the factory is working efficiently and smoothly at all times. This position requires the ability to lead the team in a fast-paced environment, ensuring all goods are manufactured or picked and packed and then shipped accurately and on time.\n\nYou will have a solid manufacturing or warehouse background and the proven experience of leading a team and setting and maintaining high standards to work as part of the operational leadership team to identify and share ideas, improving operational performance through collaboration.\n\nOperational Responsibilities\n\nAs an inspirational leader you will oversee and manage the production team to ensure due dates are met.\n\nApply LEAN manufacturing principles, utilising these principles as a powerful tool for driving process improvements.\n\nOversee quality control to ensure all goods are being made accurately and help investigate non-conformances.\n\nLaunch or support Kaizen events to tackle production issues using your problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.\n\nMaintain a strong 5S standard, supporting the team to improve their areas.\n\nEnsure orders are produced and dispatched by the set dispatch dates.\n\nEnsure an accurate stock take is carried out on the last day of every month recording all the stock items.\n\nShare responsibility for the team including return to work meetings, team morale, taking an active part in reviews and appraisals meetings.\n\nPromote a culture of safety and ensure that all employees adhere to safety guidelines and protocols.\n\nEnsure that Health and Safety standards and Quality standards are maintained.\n\nAbility to work independently under the Operations Director and as a key part of the production team.\n\nMotivate and coach the team to operational success.\n\nKey Competencies\n\nPositive attitude\n\nWill do approach to challenges\n\nSelf-motivated team player, motivate and coach the team to operational success\n\nAble to work under pressure\n\nResourcefulness\n\nAttention to Detail\n\nAdaptability and willingness to embrace change\n\nBenefits: Monday to Friday (hours 41.5 per week) Life insurance 3x salary Private Health Insurance 23 days holiday (with an additional 1 day per full year employed increasing up to additional 5 days) plus Bank Holidays Lunch provided for all employees/breakfast items supplied.
