Production Supervisor (Melt Shop)

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJoin our team in Latrobe, PA! We are looking for a Manufacturing Supervisor in our Melt Shop to lead our production team in the manufacturing of metals.

*Must be open to rotating shifts*

In this role, you will:

• Support and direct production staff to ensure efficient operations in your area.
• Quickly address any performance concerns as they arise.
• Promote and enforce all company policies, especially those related to safety.
• Organize and schedule daily tasks to optimize workflow.
• Create a positive work atmosphere by regularly communicating with employees and addressing their concerns promptly.
• Ensure that workspaces are well-organized and conducive to productivity.
• Work collaboratively with others to achieve both departmental and company goals.
• Take on additional tasks and projects as needed.

Job Requirements:

• A high school diploma is essential, and a two-year college degree is a plus.
• You should have at least 2 years of experience supervising in a manufacturing or operational role; experience in steel melting is .
• TPS experience is a plus
• Familiarity with MS Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, is necessary.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are important. You should be well-organized, able to prioritize tasks, and make informed decisions. Problem-solving and project management skills are also crucial.
• A practical understanding of industrial and manufacturing principles, standards, and methods is needed, along with knowledge of effective problem-solving techniques.
• You must be capable of leading and supervising a team, evaluating performance fairly, and supporting employee training and development.
• A willingness to work in a production environment is required, including the possibility of overtime, weekend shifts, and varied hours.
• You should be adaptable and comfortable in a fast-paced, changing work environment.
