Production Supervisor/Scheduler

We are looking for a full-time Production Supervisor/Scheduler for our manufacturing department that enjoys a wide variety of tasks. Hours are 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday. The employee will interact with Production, Customer Service, and Engineering to ensure smooth work flow.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops daily production build schedule that meets company’s delivery and inventory objectives. Communicate with Management regarding any deviation to the agreed upon schedule.
  • Analyzes re-order reports and production schedules to ensure all back orders will ship by the customer's required date. Monitor critical dates and make scheduling adjustments as needed.
  • Understand each production job process and ability to instruct and train others.
  • Reviews daily production to verify deadlines and ensure all schedules are being completed on time. Inform Management as to current or potential conflicts.
  • Calculates productivity levels of production staff and notifies management of daily quota levels. Analyzes and teaches employees if they are not meeting quotas.
  • Monitor the status of all in-process projects to ensure a smooth transition between departments.
  • Proactively initiates solutions to scheduling problems due to sales order changes or labor availability.
  • Resolves urgent customer expedites by working with customer service and production to ensure all urgent orders are shipped on time.

Requirements:

  • Supervisor experience necessary - we will train employee in all tasks required.
  • Ability to use Excel is required.
  • Thrives on fast-paced change and frequent re-prioritization.
  • Analytical and computer skills necessary.
  • Seeking responsible, detail-oriented, mature individual with a desire to succeed and grow with the position.
