The School of Architecture at the Chinese University of Hong Kong is seeking an outstanding candidate to provide academic leadership for its new Master of Landscape Architecture (MLA) Programme. Applicants should possess (i) a PhD degree in Landscape Architecture, Planning, Architecture, Environmental Studies or a related discipline. Applicants with international recognition in the field will be highly appreciated. Preference will be given to candidates with an active research agenda and/or design practice that addresses pressing environmental, ecological and urban challenges in the Asian region. We are particularly interested in candidates who can contribute to the development of interdisciplinary research and teaching that connect landscape architecture with allied built environment disciplines, including, but not limited to, Architecture, Urban Design and Planning. Appointments will normally made on a contract basis for up to three years initially commencing August 2025, which, subject to performance, funding availability and mutual agreement, may lead to a longer-term appointment or substantiation later. Outstanding candidates may be considered for substantive appointment upon initial appointment.
