Play Where You Stay Program Director MEMPHIS, TN·Full time Apply for Program Director As the Program Director at Play Where You Stay, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and evaluation of all programs and activities offered by the organization. You will work closely with staff, volunteers, community partners, and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality programs that align with our mission and values. Description This position is part of an innovative, fast-paced, flexible work environment with a mission-driven team. It requires availability some nights and weekends. Office Location: 1350 Concourse Ave, Memphis, TN 38104. Play Where You Stay hosts and trains children in different parks and schools around the City. Hours: This position is full-time with a flexible working schedule to meet the job. Some evenings and weekends are required. Pay: The salary for this position is dependent on the candidate's demonstrated experience, expertise, and skill. Reports to: Co-Founder Direct Reports: Director of Coaching Responsibilities: Develop and implement strategic plans for program growth and expansion, in collaboration with the executive team. Oversee the day-to-day operations of all programs and activities, including scheduling, staffing, and resource management. Recruit, train, and supervise program staff and volunteers, providing guidance and support as needed. Develop and maintain positive relationships with community partners, schools, local government agencies, and other partners. Monitor program performance and outcomes, collecting and analyzing data to measure impact and effectiveness. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines, including health and safety standards. Collaborate with the development team to secure funding and grants to support program operations and expansion. Represent Play Where You Stay at community events, meetings, and conferences, advocating for the organization's mission and goals. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business administration, nonprofit management, social work, sports management, education or experience in a related field or commiserate to the job 3 to 5 years of experience in sports, coaching and/or nonprofit, community-based experience. Strong knowledge of the game of soccer at all levels Passion for Play Where You Stay's mission and a commitment to making a positive impact in underserved communities. US Soccer Federation Coaching licenses are a plus. Spanish is a plus. Achieves excellent results with little direct oversight or management. Strong technology skills and knowledge of Google Workplace apps, Quickbooks, Zapier, Slack, Asana, Gusto, payment processors, or other integration tools to automate processes. Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and multi-task. Team player who is energetic, flexible, collaborative, proactive and has a desire to work in a creative environment. Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal forms. Valid driver’s license and auto insurance. Ability to work in an open and collaborative office space. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff and volunteers. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with experience working with diverse communities and stakeholders. Demonstrated success in program development, implementation, and evaluation.
