We're looking for an experienced Events and Program Manager adept at cross-organizational collaboration. In this role, you'll lead efforts to enhance our approach to event accessibility in virtual, hybrid, and in-person environments and help coordinate accessibility launches. Responsibilities include planning and preparation for key events and moments, and leading our work on specific events to make sure they are accessible to all attendees in collaboration with accessibility and event professionals. Responsibilities
- Lead for Events: Act as lead for certain events on the schedule to make sure we deliver an inclusive experience for all attendees. Working with event, hotel and production crew on event preparation pre/during/post, and then publishing best practices.
- Accessible Events Playbook Development: Drive the development and enhancement of an Accessible Events Playbook, offering guidance and best practices for creating inclusive events across virtual, hybrid, and in-person environments.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Own and facilitate recurring syncs with primary stakeholders, ensuring open lines of communication and fostering collaboration to achieve accessibility goals.
- Calendar Development and Ownership: Take the lead in developing and owning a dynamic calendar of events and days of significance, strategically aligning them with organizational objectives.
- Accessibility Launch Moments: Maintain and prioritize a pipeline of accessibility stories and moments, working across company to collate and embed into event and moment messaging in partnership with PR/Comms.
Requirements
- Strong written communication skills for effective collaboration in a fast-paced team environment.
- Proven ability to collaborate across diverse stakeholder groups, managing through virtual teams.
- 3+ years of experience in project management and/or communications.
- Executive composure, self-starter, highly motivated, and collaborative team player.
- Experience driving strategic vision and leading impactful projects with broad organizational impact.
- Accessibility, has keen understanding of physical and digital accessibility and delivering that in event setting
- Disciplined program management and cross-group skills, obtaining results while respecting others' priorities.
- Demonstrated adaptability, flexibility, and ability to make sound decisions under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Undergraduate degree
