We are looking for a Regional Transport Programme and Commissioning Manager to join our innovative highways engineering team to work on exciting engineering and transport projects in and around Neath Port Talbot.The successful candidate will: Lead and Represent:Be the voice of the Council at Corporate Transport Committees.Strategise and Implement:Plan and execute transport strategies and projects both locally and regionally.Champion Active Travel:Manage the Active Travel Network programme, including the Council’s Walking and Cycling Strategy.Collaborate and Deliver:Work with key stakeholders like Welsh Government, Network Rail, and Sustrans to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. You will have experience in/of; Expertise in Transport Policy and Funding: Knowledge of the Active Travel Wales Act 2013 is essential.Leadership and Project Management: Proven ability to lead and manage complex projects.Excellent Communication Skills: Strong stakeholder engagement and communication abilities.Grant Application Experience: Skilled in sourcing grant opportunities and preparing business plans for grant applications.Regeneration Project Leadership: Experience in leading regeneration projects is a plus.
