Description
- The project controls analyst supports the project manager by tracking the portfolios budget, forecasting financial spend, monitoring and reporting forecast, and responding to ad hoc data analysis requests.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and report program/project cost and schedule data by reviewing both predictive and reactive performance data, including progress, headcount, performance drivers, financial and non-financial metrics, business objectives, and targets.
- Ensure the program is following cost and schedule reporting guidelines.
- Evaluates manpower, labor hour, and labor cost requirements versus budget limitations including preparation of variance analysis.
- Work with Project Managers to create cost/schedule baseline budgets.
- Report on productivity and cost tracking metrics for engineering and construction firms and internal project management teams.
- Develop, report, and manage cost data for projects.
- Extract cost and schedule information from reporting systems and analyze data to report on status of the project.
- Provide regular communication on project cost, schedule and risk status to project team members and stakeholders, i.e. EPCs.
- Mark projects operative and finalize and record total project costs.
- Participate in and possibly lead project cost review meetings.
- Involved in the tracking system to ensure that project manager is fully aware of detailed change order status.
- Complete ad-hoc analysis to gauge financial impact of various project actions.
- Participates with management in development of strategies and plans.
Bachelors Degree in finance/business or related field or equivalent years of related experience
- 3+ years of experience.
- Proficiency and experience with P6 Primavera scheduling software Required
- Experience withForecasting, Accruals, and Cost reporting
- Familiarity with SAP or other Financial software
- AO (Analyst for Office, MS extension)
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
The hiring range for this position is $60 to $85 per hour. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity, and may also vary depending on candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience amongst other factors.
