Project Coordinator for Direct Reduction and Agglomeration (m/f/*) What are my responsibilities? Our department I&S PM (Iron & Steelmaking, Project Management) is responsible for the project execution in the field of Agglomeration and Direct Reduction. We provide project management expertise and are responsible for the project execution from contract award till closure of the project with the mission to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction. The Agglomeration and Direct Reduction portfolio includes ore beneficiation, sinter- and pelletizing-plants as well as the Midrex DRI/HBI-plants. Given that the use of pelletizing- and DRI/HBI-plants is expected to continue to grow due to the need to the strong demand to decarbonize the steel sector, we are strengthening our team with a Project Coordinator. In this role you ensure the timely and effective coordination/management of the technical interfaces within large and complex projects. The following tasks are key for the job: You support the Project Manager for all technical matters during the entire project execution. You support the elaboration and update of the project schedule including project progress reporting. You define work packages and distribute them in handover meetings to the respective executing departments with reference to deadlines, special contractual requirements, missing information or open points, but also with regard to quality management. You coordinate project interfaces with the executing engineering departments and all the other involved departments/parties with respect to time schedule, adherence to deadlines and ensuring the technical completeness of the project. You participate in engineering review and customer approval meetings (with focus on interfaces to/collision with adjacent parts/components, transport possibilities, installation and maintenance accessibility, media & electrical interfaces, technical completeness and formal execution adherence, fulfillment of customer requirements). You organize and prepare the submission of engineering results (e.g. drawing documents) and project documentation (e.g. operation manual, maintenance manual) to the customer. You support in the equipment installation and commissioning tasks on site. You ensure that all relevant information is filed during project closure and is available for future projects. What do I need to qualify for this job? Secondary school with a technical or engineering focus 3+ years professional experience in adequate technical functions (e.g. technology, engineering, installation) Advanced knowledge of engineering and business unit related technology to understand technical implications Basic knowledge in project management methods and tools, know-how of contract law and regulations for project business, technical understanding of segment portfolio Work experience in international teams Willingness for international travels and for site delegations Advanced knowledge in English and German Personally, you impress us with your high integrity in dealing with others and your proactive and solution-oriented attitude. In addition you convince us with your quality oriented and structured work approach, initiatve and self-motivation and your strong communication and coordination skills. You show assertiveness and act in a team-oriented manner. What else do I need to know? The minimum annual gross salary for this position under the collective agreement and assuming that all requirements are met is EUR 50.286,18 (F/00). This could rise considerably, depending on qualifications and experience.
