Project Coordinator/Estimator

Estimator/Project Coordinator Main Duties and Responsibilities include: Prepare detailed cost estimates for Big Box Retail renovation projects. Collaborate with the project team to assess project scope, review plans, and determine accurate costs for labor, materials, and equipment. Analyze subcontractor and supplier bids, ensuring competitive pricing and alignment with project specifications. Maintain accurate records of estimates, proposals, and project costs throughout the bidding process. Participate in tender submissions, ensuring compliance with client requirements and deadlines. Communicate with project stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, to provide updates on costs, budgets, and revisions. MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled and all other qualified applicants 5+ years experience in a project coordinator and estimator role Experience in ICI renovations projects Completed full cycle estimation and coordination on commercial retail renovation projects Post-secondary diploma in a construction related discipline Ability to be client-facing and increase project pipeline Excellent verbal and written communication skills Knowledge of different construction methods, sequencing, potential problems, and timelines Familiar with project management and estimating software programs Knowledge of relevant construction law and building code excellent attitude and resilience Our client in a well established General Contractor based in Mississauga.
