Overview

CTG is seeking to fill a Project Coordinator - Nuclear Projects opening for our client in Richland, WA.

Location: Richland, WA
Duration: 12 months

Duties:

  • Coordinate project teams of 1 to 5 people, including planning, scheduling, and controlling project and program activities.
  • Manage small projects related to refueling outages, forced outages, and on-line maintenance, ensuring the work is performed safely, with quality, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Develop and track project budgets, including cost tracking versus budget for assigned projects.
  • Ensure all aspects of project implementation are covered, including budget management, work package preparation, parts procurement, ALARA planning, industrial and nuclear safety, work prioritization, resource loading, and work execution.
  • Resolve schedule delays and conflicts, while ensuring projects remain on track.
  • Interface regularly with clients, engineers, related parties, and management to ensure proper project progress.
  • Develop and maintain long-range strategic plans for assigned projects.
  • Support outage activities including OCC.
  • Prepare and deliver written and oral communications to various groups, including senior management.
  • Support effective implementation of the Self-Assessment and Corrective Action Program.

Skills:

  • Basic project management techniques.
  • Basic understanding of human performance, cost-effective work execution, and nuclear safety practices.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Experience:

  • One year of experience in a technical field with a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, or a related field; OR
  • Three years of experience in a technical field with an Associate’s degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, or a related technical curriculum; OR
  • Five years of experience in a technical field with a High School Diploma/GED.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, or a related field ().
  • Associate’s degree or High School Diploma/GED with relevant experience are also acceptable.

Desired Education and Experience:

  • Project Management Certification.
  • Construction Management Certification.

Required Abilities and Skills:

  • Basic understanding of project management principles and techniques.
  • Core knowledge of human performance, safety, and cost-effective work execution in a technical or nuclear setting.
  • Proficiency with basic computer software tools (MS Office).

Desired Abilities and Skills:

  • Familiarity with error reduction and human performance improvement methods.
  • Experience with managing projects, refueling, forced outage management, and engineering-related activities.
  • Familiarity with project management and standard project management techniques.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $45 to $50. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
