A Project Cost Accounting Coordinator's duties include collection of documents, billing forecast set-up, preparation of monthly billings, month end reporting, project cost accounting and daily communication with project leads.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Assists in monthly close processes including the preparation of journal entries
- Assists with daily accounting activities
- Compile and analyze financial information in order to transact journal entries
- Assists with preparation and distribution of monthly financial reporting packages
- Tracking, data entry and assisting in entering inventory transactions
- Provide periodic overload assistance and special project investigation as directed
- Assist with internal and external audits, including adhoc requests
- Performs basic cost accounting for several subsidiaries
- Prepares special reports and analysis as requested by management
- Randomly audits workflow to assure that all accounting transactions are appropriately authorized.
Qualifications:
- Recent College Graduate with Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in accounting
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
- Advanced experience with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong analytical skills; ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and make sound recommendations
- Keen attention to detail, excellent problem-solving and able to maintain confidentiality
