With a history in upholstered furniture manufacturing since 1980, we strive to inspire our clients with the same level of quality furniture we are known for. The Estimator is a vital role to the operational process of our project team. You must have strong communication skills, furniture experience, and bring a high level of energy to the preliminary and execution phases of every project opportunity at By Quality. This is a full-time on-site role for an Estimating and Sourcing Specialist based in Vaughan, Ontario. The Estimating and Sourcing Specialist is responsible for tasks such as analyzing project requirements, communicating with clients, managing vendor bids, conducting takeoffs, and issuing purchase orders. Review, analyze and interpret furniture bid package specifications and requirements to prepare accurate project bids. Develop comprehensive quote packages for By Quality suppliers including quantities and materials. Distribute bid packages to By Quality suppliers, ensuring all necessary information is included for accurate responses. Maintain ongoing communication with By Quality suppliers to follow up on quotes, address inquiries, and clarify specifications. Calculate and provide accurate material costs for furniture based on project requirements and market conditions. Experience in a furniture or store fixture manufacturing environment with estimating or design experience. Proficiency in basic mathematical equations, and furniture design and construction. Strong computer skills including programs such as ERPs, Microsoft Office 365, Adobe. Knowledge of the commercial furniture industry is an asset. Post Secondary Education in Furniture Making, Product Development, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
