Under the motto "Engineering Excellence", we design high-tech plants of the future together with our customers and create sustainable value as an optimal partner.We are passionate about innovation - become part of a highly committed team.We are looking for an experienced Project Director for the successful realization of large-scale international projects in process industry with project volumes up to the triple-digit million range. This top position includes, in addition to the overall project and budget responsibility, the successful management of the project team as well as the ongoing communication with all stakeholders involved.The scope of responsibilities includes:Responsibility for the successful execution of largescale projects (TIC > 80 Mio. €)Defining the project execution strategy to achieve the project objectivesLeadership and steering of the entire project teamMain contact person to the customer project manager during the entire project phase, ongoing customer communicationInitiation of cost, risk and schedule controlling as well as responsibility for project reporting (including to the VTU management and the customer's management)Taking responsibility for safety in the project, ensuring compliance with EHS requirementsEnsure compliance with company procedures, standards and guidelines as well as the required quality in the project (QM & QC)Set up and establish scope, change & risk management at all levels in the projectHighest level of escalation within the project to the customer, partners/suppliers and the project team before corporate managementManage workflow and internal communications to ensure relevant stakeholders are informed of project progressNegotiate with customers and partners (suppliers) and be responsible for contract design/management Your requirements: Completed technical studies with focus on process engineering, biotechnology, chemistry, plant or mechanical engineering or equivalent educationTraining in project management or PM certification is an advantageSeveral years (min. 15 years) of relevant experience in the execution of EPCM/plant engineering projects in a two to three-digit million range from the process industry, preferably in the field of pharmaceuticals or chemical plantsExcellent technical and economic understanding of project processes and interrelationshipsExcellent communication and organizational skillsAssertiveness combined with flexibility and hands-on mentalityEnjoys working with different disciplines and has experience in leading project teamsVery good knowledge of English, knowledge of German is an advantageWillingness to travel (mainly in Europe) Our offer: Varied and challenging tasksFreedom for personal initiative as well as flat hierarchies and short decision-making processesAppreciative working atmosphereFlexible working hours (no core time) as well as home officeVTU Academy with internal and external training opportunitiesAs well as further attractive benefitsPreventive benefits and health measures (e.g. accident prevention for all work and leisure accidents, company pension insurance plan, vaccination campaigns, use of consulting services)Modern, state-of-the-art work equipment is available from the first day onwardsModern office environment as well as good accessibility of the location by public transport or via the highwayEmployee and team eventsEtc.For this position, we offer a competitive salary package in line with the qualifications and experience, including a company car.Our projects are international and the cooperation in remote teams is well established at VTU.
