Project Engineer III
Address Location: Eddyville, IA
Contract: 12 Months
Schedule: Monday - Friday. Start between 7am-8am to 4pm-5pm
Job Purpose and Impact
The Project Engineer III will plan, coordinate, and execute capital projects from initiation through closeout. In this role you will coordinate and direct capital projects of fixed duration to ensure that the goals and objectives are accomplished within the determined timeframe and budget. We seek a professional who will develop and apply engineering standards and procedures, providing advice on issues within the engineering field.
Key Accountabilities
• Plan, design and estimate time and cost, overseeing construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, systems and components.
• Analyze and develop solutions to engineering problems related to manufacturing equipment and systems or the causes of component failures.
• Design and improve manufacturing processes, instruments and equipment, testing manufactured products to maintain quality.
• Drive and support integration of, and adherence to, corporate and legal requirements in the design and construction of new facilities, processes, equipment, and utilities.
• Collaborate with regional domain leads for domain specific expertise support in build projects.
• Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• Minimum of four years of related work experience
• Other minimum qualifications may apply
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience managing build projects with total project cost ($5k-$10MM)
• Experience managing build projects in the food processing or agricultural sectors
• Experience managing contractors
• Experience working with equipment vendors and engineering firms
• Experience working on cross functional teams
• Demonstrated strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated high levels of organization, communication and documentation skills.
• Basic competencies in energy pinch analysis, food safety, Automation, Electrical & Instrumentation (AE&I), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), American Society Mechanical Engineers (ASME) B31.3 piping design, American Petroleum Institute (API) 650 tank construction, Management of Change (MOC), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), and National Electric Code (NEC)
• Demonstrated competencies in several of the key chemical processing unit operations such as evaporation, heat exchange, ion exchange, drying, etc.
• Experience/Knowledge of PPM, PDP, and Build processes
