Project Engineer

Job Description: The Role: Entegris is seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment where safety, quality and continuous improvement are paramount. You will be a key player on a dynamic, skilled project team whose objective is to manage product/technology transfer project to Taiwan. The ideal candidate is highly trained in engineering and has a track record of success in project or program management. This person must be an outstanding communicator, exceptional leader, and even better strategist. The project engineer will ultimately be responsible for maintaining our standards of excellence and delivering projects with the utmost attention to safety and quality.  In this role you will: Drive a “Safety First” culture by performing equipment, process, and behavioral audits and recommending/implementing solutions to risk. Develop/execute strategies and lead projects, Preparing, scheduling, coordinating and monitoring the assigned engineering projects. Monitoring compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications. Interacting daily with other team members to interpret their needs and requirements and representing them in the field. Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance) and report regularly on project status. Assign responsibilities and mentor project team. Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support. Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions. Be keenly aware of highest impact issues/threats to the project and relentlessly drive resolution with a strong sense of urgency and integrity. Track and report Key updates and risks to the stakeholders.  Create required documentation for new/modified equipment and processes including design documentation, process flows, and recipes. Communicate effectively across the organization (e.g. marketing, facilities, operations, etc.) to drive a result. Contribute to the direction of the department in partnership with other members of the team and leadership. Submit capital investment requests with supporting business case justifications and drive the execution of capital projects for small projects and serve as manufacturing expert on capital projects development and support project team throughout the project life cycle (initiation to startup) Responsible for the identification and implementation of work processes, knowledge transfer requirements and methods to enable transitions required to support the organization and growth capital projects. Oversee budgetary, scheduling, and project databases, and report regularly to project manager on progress as well as on problems that could significantly affect cost or schedule.  Traits we believe make a strong candidate: Bachelor or Master of Science degree in engineering (chemical engineering preferred) Strong English communication skill is must. +5 years of experience in project engineering, process engineering, or equipment engineering that supports chemical synthesis, purification and/or packaging. Examples include: Distillation systems Process gas/solvent lines and monitoring systems Solids Purification Sublimation systems Proven working experience as a Project Engineer. Proven experience with PFDs, P&IDs, and sound understanding of Control Logic Diagrams, Instrumentation Selection, Valve and Line Sizing, and ERPs. Understanding of Materials of Construction. Experience with FMEA or other risk-based methods. Project management and supervision skills. Decision making ability and leadership skills. Time management and organization skills. Project management software skills. Ability to present technical data to all levels of the organization. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and wear PPE as necessary. Ability to travel domestically and/or internationally to support of various engineering projects/escalations (<20%).  Your success will be measured by: Tenacity to drive teams and projects to world class performance in a timely manner. Professionalism, integrity and high degree of accountability. Ability to collaborate with individuals at all levels and functional groups within the organization. Ability to recognize potential risks and to develop mitigation plans. Drive to create new solutions and inspire others – Influence positive change. Complete the project on time and in budget.
