More than 7,000 SBMers worldwide are committed to sharing their experience to deliver safe, sustainable and affordable energy from the oceans for generations to come. Together, we are driving progress forward in a #OGJSRole PurposeThe Project Engineer leads the implementation and the timely completion of specific tasks, as assigned by the Project Manager, in accordance with both the contractual and SBM internal requirements.Such tasks may include Interface Management, Delivery Management, Area Management, Package Management or Change Management depending upon the size and complexity of the Project.Role Contribution – Package Manager – ICSS / Telecoms The Package Manager (PKM) is the front-line of the Supply Chain/PMT activities within the project and is responsible for delivering the package to meet project requirements in terms of safety, budget, schedule and quality.You perform the role of a “project manager” for the package.You ensure that the package is executed in line with the Project Procurement Strategy (PPS) and efficiently manages all tactical aspects of the package from RFQ, PO and post order management until final commissioning.You actively contribute to the lessons learned process to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Supply Chain. In order to ensure that package management is set up to meet project requirements, you are to:• Understand the technical requirements of the package/PO by liaising with Package Engineer (PKE) accordingly.• Set-up the package gates by collecting lessons learned, multi-disciplinary input and defining package gates and planning accordingly.• Monitor that the tactical management of the procurement process is conducted appropriately and in full compliance with Company working procedures.• Measure realized savings for the package/PO arising from the implementation of the procurement category strategy as defined in the PPS.• Be accountable for the successful delivery of the assigned package/PO.• Manage internal stakeholders to ensure she/he has sufficient means (time, technical resources) to run a satisfactory tendering process including clarifications, normalization of all bidders and negotiations. • Lead commercial and contractual negotiations with the support of the Buyer and Category Manager as relevant. • Adjust standard Inspection Testing Plan (ITP) to meet project requirements.• Manage the package interface with the vendor and commissioning team during and post-PO execution.• Ensure that vendors activities are managed in line with project priorities.• Develop vendor quality awareness and ensure that quality controls are performed during vendor manufacturing process as per ITP.• Manage changes coming from site (construction/commissioning) that imply in urgent vendor deliverables; • Support commissioning team by interfacing with key vendors;• Consolidate handover documents to completions. • Specific experience required within the specification, and delivery of ICSS systems – preferable to have some experience in offshore Telecoms systems but not mandatory.
