Project Engineer

Prepares technical specifications and requirements for projects in coordination with various groups and subject matter experts within the company. Conduct technical evaluation and review of proposals submitted by contractors, consultants or suppliers, including conduct of technical clarifications meetings. In coordination with various groups in the company, secure project permits and other regulatory authorizations or endorsements including the preparation of supporting documents such as project descriptions, drawings, calculations and others to support all permit applications. Prepare and regularly update the project schedule for reference during the development phase of the project until contract award for release of notice to proceed to the contractor or vendor Prepare the annual budget of a project, and handles the certification and processing of payments to contractors, consultants and vendors, including tracking of actual payments against contract cost. Collaborate with the project implementation team and the project manager to clearly define various interfaces for the project, including coordination with various stakeholders to gather inputs and scope recommendations. Prepare, secure, and gather all needed design inputs, specifications, and functional descriptions such as technical data sheets, layout drawings, equipment drawings, wiring diagrams, interface drawings, and other engineering documents in coordination with various groups and subject matter experts. Conduct site visits to gather or verify project data, and accompany prospective contractors or vendors. Coordinates and handles the technical data gathering, queries, assessment, analysis and recommends required action during the conceptualization and feasibility stage of a project. Provide support and inputs during preparation, negotiation and finalization of contracts (ie EPC, Supply or BOP Construction Contract, etc.) to ensure that contract terms are aligned with the technical requirements Provide inputs and coordinate actions to mitigate risks and resolve issues as identified in the project’s risk register and issues log. Monitor the delivery of equipment by the vendor and handle the coordination with supply chain team and contractor’s logistics team/forwarder on customs releasing and delivery to site. Facilitate and attend regular huddles/coordination meetings with various teams to track progress and resolve issues and concerns related to the project. When assigned to a project site under construction, perform overall monitoring and quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance), including periodic reports on project status. Participates in the post-project review during closeout by sharing lessons learned and providing feedback and recommendations on various aspects of the project. Perform other tasks that may be assigned from time to time to support the project.
