Project Engineer
JOB DESCRIPTION Launch innovations in nearly every commercial and defense aircraft platformAs a Project Engineer at Honeywell, in Brno, you will lead a project team developing safety critical and complex products for various types of aircraft belonging to Urban Air Mobility market segment, working on projects dealing with the future of air travel and mobility. You will be responsible for the project from planning, execution to the controller delivery to the customers. This is a hybrid role 3+2.Since the invention of autopilot in 1914, we’ve been a leader in innovation for the Air Travel industry. Today, thousands of Honeywell products are used in aircraft and airports around the world. Everyday 140,000 Honeywell air turbine starters bring to life commercial and military aircraft, industrial and marine equipment.Key responsibilitiesInitiate and manage cost and schedule data, including analysis and maintenance of program schedules and financial forecasts.Develop and lead program-level processes, training materials, and support tools for effective program planning and resource management.Support the program manager with budgeting tasks, such as funding exercises and forecasting, and generate a responsibility assignment matrix.Coordinate and assist with proposal activities, program re-plans, risk mitigation, and change requests to support program-level budgeting.Perform analysis on monthly variances to the cost and schedule baseline, and provide recommendations for corrective actions and financial forecast adjustments.Key skills and qualificationsExperience in leading similar projects (development of product containing electronics), technical background as a group leadExcellent communications skills, with Project Management knowledge and great understanding of budgeting, financial analysis and cost validation, as well as program/project scheduling/statusingSelf-motivation and ability to work with little supervision, reliable and committed personExcellent command of English language is mandatory (B2/C1)Ability to cope with programmatic challenges as you will be working in emerging environment of Urban Air MobilityWe OfferMarket-specific training and ongoing personal and professional development with support of experienced leadersExtra-week of holiday, semi-flexible working hoursBenefit portfolio including meal allowance, pension insurance, Benefit Plus Cafeteria program, discounted phone tariff, Multisport card for free or discounted access to sports and leisure facilities, global partnership, and discounts and moreWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
