How You'll Add Value
The Project Engineer aids in the planning and execution of daily activities for construction work to ensure the highest level of quality and accuracy. In this role, you provide technical support under the supervision of the project leaders (Superintendent/Project Manager).
How You'll Get it Done
- Maintain project schedule and track progress and update project schedule as directed
- Assist with tracking project materials to ensure they are received in advance of the required delivery dates
- Assist in the permitting process
- Assist with project close-out including punch list, warranty, and closeout documents / O&M Manual for submission to the Owner
- Assist as requested with coordinating client sign-off and final inspection
- Prepare and maintain submittal, change order, request for information, and contingency logs
- Log and distribute contract drawing updates as directed
- Assist with preparation and distribution of meeting minutes for weekly project status meetings after internal review/approval.
- Assist Project Management as requested, with the change management process including logging change events, soliciting subcontractor quotations and if required, quantity take-off
- Assist as requested with preparing change requests for submission to the Owner
- Manage subcontractor and vendor bid process.
- Read construction documents to further assist in the bidding process.
- Work with Project Manager/Project Executive to send projects out for bid and follow up with subcontractors/vendors on bid intentions in a timely manner
- Collect and organize bid documents (drawings, specifications, etc.)
- Assist the Project Manager in the performance of all aspects of their work, as directed by the Project Manager
What You're Bringing to the Table
- Bachelor’s in construction management, project management, or equivalent work experience
- OSHA 10 certification required; OSHA 30 certification
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Procore/similar project management software
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting plans and specs
- Proven experience following up on communication and issues as identified
