Project Engineer
Position: Project Engineer (Direct Hire) Location: New Castle, IN 47362 Hours: Onsite, 7:30am-4:30pm (flexible), Monday – Friday or Wednesday-Sunday Salary: $85,000, OT Offered $40 per week attendance bonus Profit share bonus – paid twice a year Must Haves: MET or EET 3 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing space Ladder Logic / PLC experience – troubleshooting and refining the logic Plusses: Laser Welding experience Welding fixture experience Automotive experience Project management experience Day to Day: Working with the engineering team on project planning, tracking, scheduling, and deadlines for capital improvement projects. This candidate will be implementing new machines and troubleshooting them within Ladder Logic. In addition, will be working with HMI / PLC implementation / troubleshooting. This engineer will also be working with vendors doing scheduling, quotes, etc. This candidate may also work with the welding team to work with new welding cells and fixture updates. DEVELOP FLEXIBLE / INTEGRATED MANUFACTURING SYSTEMS AND PROCEDURES DESIGN, DEVELOP AND TEST EQUIPMENT AND INDUSTRIAL PROCESS CONTROL SYSTEMS CONDUCT STUDIES AMD IMPLEMENT PROGRAMS TO DETERMINE OPTIMUM UTILIZATION OF MACHINERY, MATERIALS AND RESOURCES DESIGN, DEVELOP AND CONDUCT TIME STUDIES AND WORK SIMPLIFICATION PROGRAMS CONDUCT RESEARCH INTO FEASIBILITY, DESIGN, OPERATION AND PERFORMANCE OF MECHANISMS, COMPONENTS AND SYSTEMS. PLAN AND IMPLEMENT PROJECTS, PREPARE MATERIAL, COST AND TIMING ESTIMATES, REPORTS AND DESIGN SPECIFICATIONS FOR MACHINERY AND SYSTEMS SUPERVISE AND INSPECT THE INSTALLATION, MODIFICATION OF MECHANICAL SYSTEMS STUDY NEW MACHINERY AND FACILITIES; RECOMMEND OR SELECT EFFICIENT COMBINATIONS PREPARE NEW MODEL REVIEW (NMR) PRESENTATION MATERIALS ANALYZE REPAIR AND DOWNTIME DATA AND INITIATE PROBLEM-SOLVING ACTIVITIES. CREATE AND MAINTAIN EQUIPMENT PROBLEM TRACKING CHARTS DEVELOP THE MANUFACTURING EQUIPMENT FAILURE MODE PLAN PROVIDE CUSTOMER SUPPORT IMPLEMENT PROPER COMPUTER SETTING WITHIN TEST EQUIPMENT TO ACHIEVE PROPER TESTING SPECIFICATIONS
