The Position: The Project Engineer will collaborate closely with Project Managers and field supervisors to support every facet of project execution, ensuring efficiency and alignment with client goals. This position involves leveraging technical expertise and effective communication to deliver high-quality results while managing schedules and documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Use Tekla Structures modeling software from Trimble to create 3D models of steel structures.
- Prepare fabrication drawings and submittal packages.
- Take field measurements and procure necessary materials.
- Track material workflow through the fabrication shop.
- Manage daily project operations, including RFIs, submittals, and transmittals.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, clients, owners, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Collaborate with Superintendents to develop and implement safety plans and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Knowledge of CAD software and exceptional 3D visualization skills.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Comfortable taking field measurements and translating them into detailed drawings.
- Familiarity with construction and ability to interface with shop and field foremen.
- Ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
- Construction experience but not required.
- Inclination to propose design improvements and lead construction crews in fabrication and installation.
Salary + Benefits:
- $80,000 - $110,000 BOE
- Health insurance coverage (100% for the employee) after 30 days.
