We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Construction Project Engineer to join our growing team. This role will support the planning, coordination, and execution of complex Public Works and DSA (Division of the State Architect) construction projects. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical and communication skills to help drive project efficiency, compliance, and quality from preconstruction through closeout.
Key Responsibilities

Assist in the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets to support effective project execution.

Review construction drawings, specifications, and documentation for accuracy and alignment with project requirements.

Coordinate daily with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure consistent progress and workflow.

Track and report on project milestones, identifying risks or delays and supporting resolution efforts.

Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and all other project documentation.

Support procurement and material tracking to ensure timely delivery and cost efficiency.

Ensure all work complies with Public Works and DSA regulations, as well as safety and quality standards.

Participate in site inspections and quality control activities to uphold project standards.

Communicate regularly with all stakeholders, preparing status updates and supporting reporting efforts.

Collaborate with engineering and field teams to resolve design and coordination challenges as they arise.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

Public Works or DSA project experience is required.

1–3 years of experience in construction project engineering, project coordination, or a related role .

Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, or similar construction management tools.

Excellent ability to interpret and understand technical drawings and specifications.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to thrive in a collaborative and fast-paced construction environment.

Knowledge of jobsite safety regulations and construction best practices.

Strong time management, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for jobsite visits.
