GRI-Alleset has a career-building opportunity for a Project Engineer to join a dynamic and rapidly growing company. The ideal candidate will be positive, proactive, innovative, and have a “can-do” attitude.
Responsibilities
- Design and development new products; lead and execute existing product enhancements.
- Interface with marketing on generating feasibility of product ideas/concepts;
- Ensure customer requirements and design input are proactively defined to guide the Product Development team
- Bring product ideas concepts into iterations of prototyping, testing and validation.
- Application of both new and existing technologies, materials and processes to deliver the optimum product design ensuring the establishment of excellent standards of performance
- Conducting cost analysis(product)and process optimization studies
- Work with international manufacturing site on implementing approved product into manufacturing process. Devising and leading both lab scale and mass production experiments to validate critical Design and processing methods
- Develop strategies to work around technical challenges
- Provide continuous support of product launch in early marketing stage and seeking steady improvements in design, quality and financials.
- Analyze technical data; prepare standard/customized reports/documentation for internal/external sponsors.
- Participate into the process of planning and scheduling activities necessary to meet project deadlines.
- Product/process development through whole life cycle to ensure long term success.
Qualifications/ Education
- Knowledge of polymer science & composite materials.
- Knowledge of Plastic related processes (injection molding, thermal forming, blow molding etc).
- Knowledge and hand-on experience about mechanical design, GD&T. Experience with major 3D software(Solidworks ).
- Knowledge about DOE(design of experiment), process validation.
- Experience in medical device industry a plus.
- Experience with Design Control is a plus.
- Experience with ISO related audit is a plus.
- Position requires project management experience, good problem solving skills, strong overall communication skills and strong leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Material/Electrical/biomedical engineering is minimum, Master Degree is
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- PMP certificate is a plus.
- Electronics/system design is a plus.
- Strong sense of urgency;
- International working experience is a plus.
- Fluent in Mandarin Chinese a plus.
- 15% of international travel is requested for this position
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
