Project Engineer

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionØ Typically works on larger projects, ranging from 10k to $10MM.Ø At times in conjunction with Global Engineering, responsible for the planning, monitoring and execution of the defined capital project scope, ensuring cost, timing and quality objectives are met.Ø Ensure the schedule is adhered to during the life of the project.Ø Responsible for tracking and reporting on project milestones and providing appropriate status reports to management/stakeholders/customers.Ø Accountability to resolve any project issues and proactively resolve problems throughout the life of the project.Ø Overall responsibility for managing contractors for the site. Including, but not limited, safety performance, auditing good engineering practices, etc.Ø Supports junior project engineers and maintenance with technical expertise and/or advice.Ø Participates and leads interdisciplinary reviews on all new and existing projects, including but not limited to: Process, P&ID, Hazop’s, PHA’s, MI, etc.Ø Travel 5-10% to vendor locationsQUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTSv Bachelors in Engineering (Chemical )v 3+ years industry experience preferably in manufacturing Project Management rolev Strong project management skills and agile problem-solving skills, experience in handling Operational Excellence projects, Development projects and CAPEX projectsv Ability to handle multiple projects (up to 5) simultaneously, keeping track of costs and schedule and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.v Use organizational skills to prioritize and resolve project issues. Ability to evaluate solutions and recommend action based on scope, schedule, and budget.v Ability to think out-of-the-box and development of innovative solutions for upcoming problems.
