Project Engineer

Job Description

We’re looking for a Project Engineer to join our clients team. 

This role is responsible for delivering transport projects that enhance safety, encourage sustainable travel, and improve transport infrastructure.

• Contract until June 2025

• Hybrid working

• \nRates: £24.75 per hour PAYE / £31.18 per hour Umbrella

\n

Your Role:

\n
• \nLead on the delivery of transport and highways projects, ensuring alignment with Camden’s Transport Strategy.

\n

• \nWork closely with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders to manage projects efficiently.

\n

• \nEnsure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including CDM requirements.

\n

• \nLiaise with local communities, businesses, and councillors, keeping them informed of project progress.

\n

• \nManage budgets and resources effectively, ensuring cost-effective delivery of schemes.

\n

• \nMonitor and report on project milestones, identifying and resolving any issues.

\n

What We’re Looking For:

\n
• \nExperience in transport or civil engineering project delivery.

\n

• \nKnowledge of highways, road safety, and sustainable transport schemes.

\n

• \nUnderstanding of contract management, including financial planning and compliance.

\n

• \nStrong stakeholder engagement skills, with experience liaising with contractors, councillors, and the public.

\n

• \nGood working knowledge of health and safety regulations, including CDM.

\n

• \nDegree in Engineering or Transportation (or equivalent experience).

\n
