Job Title: Project Engineer

Location: Florida (Ft Lauderdale | West Palm Beach | Orlando)

Job Description:We are looking for a dedicated Project Engineer to support the Project Manager in delivering successful construction projects. This role involves responsibilities in contract administration, document control, procurement, coordination with trade partners, financial management, change orders, and project closeout, ensuring all tasks are completed on time, within budget, and adhere to the highest safety and quality standards.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field .
  • Experience: 2-5 years in a construction-related role with exposure to project engineering tasks.
  • Certifications: OSHA 30-Hour certification required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Team Support: Demonstrate company values and assist in coordinating construction aspects with the Project Manager and Project Superintendent.
  • Project Documentation & Coordination:
    • Manage overall project document control, maintaining updated records.
    • Review and submit all documentation, ensuring compliance with contract documents.
    • Prioritize and manage Requests for Information (RFIs) to prevent delays.
    • Maintain a material procurement log and coordinate with trade partners for timely material delivery.
  • Quality Control & Compliance:
    • Monitor quality control activities and ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
    • Actively participate in safety programs and promote safety awareness on-site.
  • Meetings & Trade Partner Coordination:
    • Organize and attend key project meetings, taking minutes and distributing them promptly.
    • Assist in pre-installation meetings to ensure compliance with quality plans.
  • Change Management & Financial Support:
    • Prepare and track change proposals, aiding in negotiations to minimize impact on project scope and schedule.
    • Support the review of cost reports and payment applications for accuracy.
  • Project Closeout:
    • Lead the punchlist creation and resolution at project completion.
    • Prepare and manage detailed closeout documentation, ensuring all requirements are met.
