Project Engineer – Autonomous Mobile Robotics (AMRs) / Autonomous Guided Carts (AGCs)

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Project Engineer to lead and support the deployment of autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) and Autonomous Guided Carts (AGCs) in dynamic manufacturing and warehouse environments. This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge robotics systems that automate material handling, improve intralogistics efficiency, and enable smart factory operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the full lifecycle of AGC/AMR implementation projects, from concept through design, installation, testing, and commissioning

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, controls engineers, and software developers to ensure seamless system integration

  • Develop detailed technical documentation, project schedules, and resource plans

  • Interface directly with clients to define project requirements, provide regular updates, and deliver technical support

  • Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards, timelines, and safety regulations

  • Conduct system integration, debugging, and on-site deployment of automated solutions

  • Provide post-installation support, including troubleshooting, performance tuning, and system optimization

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field

  • 3+ years of experience managing or engineering automation or robotics projects

  • Strong knowledge of industrial automation, robot navigation systems, and sensor integration

  • Familiarity with PLC programming, control systems, and safety standards (e.g., ISO 3691-4, ANSI B56.5)

  • Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for design and documentation

  • Excellent project management skills and proficiency with tools like MS Project, Jira, or Smartsheet

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with clients and internal teams

  • Willingness to travel to client sites for system commissioning and technical support

Skills:

  • Experience with ROS (Robot Operating System) or similar robotics middleware

  • Knowledge of autonomous navigation algorithms, SLAM, and LiDAR-based guidance

  • Background in lean manufacturing or logistics optimization
