About the role We are currently seeking an experienced structures/buildings project engineer to join our ever-growing Rail Operations team based in Malaga, WA. Rail Operations is an internal business unit within Laing O’Rourke, specialising in the sole delivery of all aspects of Rail, working with a team of technical experts to deliver a high portfolio of work across Western Australia.  Key responsibilities Contribute to the achievement of Laing O’Rourke’s safety targets and zero tolerance of unsafe and un-environmentally conscious working practices and occurrences. Coordinate and administer construction engineering activities of the project to ensure that project plans are implemented in accordance with designs and specifications. Provide project engineering support to the construction teams to facilitate the construction process. Ongoing monitoring and reporting of work progress. Direct interface with the construction crews to collect data on information required for project status, cost reporting and forecasting. Support the site construction crews with developing and communicating work packages. Assist with technical queries. Provide direction and supervision for Site Engineers, as required. About you A degree qualification in Civil Engineering along with construction contracting experience having worked as a Project Engineer for Tier 1 Construction Contractors. Structures and/or viaducts experience on large scale public infrastructure/rail projects. A strong commercial acumen. A collaborative approach with proven ability to work effectively in a team.
