Project Engineer – Civil & structural

About the job: Kent is looking for a Project Engineer - Civil & Structural- Based on Shedgum for a Medium sized Brownfield EPC project for Saudi Aramco. The engineering duration will be12-14 months and some of these personnel would be required to continue full-time/part-time till project completion through the Construction and Pre-commissioning phases. Skills and Responsibilities: Discuss and resolve any outstanding technical issues related to C&S Design. Review C&S work packages (calculations, specifications, drawings, etc.) in conformance with contract requirements and Aramco standards. Familiarity with International Codes and Standards such as ANSI, API, NFPA, etc. is required. To incorporate feedback from projects and customers for design clarification and modifications during the development and construction project phases. Conversant with STAAD Pro and STAAD Foundation and other engineering software will be an advantage. Reviewing job progress and cost reports regarding C&S engineering and construction activities. Preparing engineering and construction scope for both man-hours and equipment estimates where necessary. Development and facilitation of global forums to drive the sharing of C&S CAD engineering standards, best practices, guidelines, and component/ part libraries. Lead & manage a team of assigned professional Design Engineers during engineering phase and skilled labor force during construction phase of the project. Development of staffing plan for each Project. Continuous Coordination with other Disciplines, Clients, and Vendors. Thorough Quality Monitoring of C&S Design deliverables in compliance with the company's Quality Procedures. Demonstrate and report Design / Construction Progress by attending Weekly or Monthly meetings with clients and Project management. Furnish final drawings, estimation of quantities, and other technical documents to construction contractors through projects. Verify time schedules and other specifications for execution of the work. To check and evaluate design and material specifications. Coordinate the preparation of Purchase Requisitions for the procurement of equipment and materials. To document, record, and report on meetings, progress of jobs, and construction completion from design & validation reports from Project Engineers. Interact with Quality Assurance for quality issues; strictly ensure compliance with the Company's ISO Quality procedures. Conduct and facilitate Internal and Client audits. Coordinating meetings with Vendor, Client PMT, and Proponent for swift execution of the project from Engineering to final handover. Assist the team leader, be a team player, collaborate, and add value to the assigned project. Coordinate/Communicate with other disciplines, Contractors, and Clients. Assist and support project leads, managers, and directors to manage all aspects of projects from design to implementation and handover. Support technical reviews and analysis during vendor prequalification, bid evaluation, and performance evaluation. Review technical deviations and variations to approved guidelines, codes, Standards, and practices. Ensure all Contractor's design work is safe and carried out safely. Ensure all Contractor's design work conforms to the codes and standards used by the Client or to agreed industry standards. If required, perform designing/engineering work/deliverables as part of the team. Coordinate with the project team and clients to develop/finalize design specifications to meet their project needs with the j ability to interpret Client specifications. Quality Assurance - Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system. Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and advise the Client, and ask for assistance when required. If required, assist, and help develop junior personnel within the team. Keep up to date with the latest developments and technical innovations . If required, provide support during fabrication, site construction, and commissioning activities. Knowledge / qualifications/ Training/ Certification: Bachelor's or higher degree in Civil Engineering. • 8 to 10 Years in detailed Engineering Design of EPC Projects in Oil & Gas or petrochemical Sectors (Min. 5+ Aramco project experience). Understanding of Local and International Codes & Standards. Full-stack development skills with proficiency in front-end and back-end technologies. Proficient with company standard office software and discipline-specific technical software. Able to effectively communicate technical issues to peers (written and verbal). Proficient at working with engineers to produce high-quality, accurate, complete engineering delivery. Thorough knowledge of Aramco standards. Well experienced on all latest Engineering Design software's used in Oil & Gas sector. Communication: . Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. . Ability to articulate technical challenges and progress effectively. . Proficiency in remote collaboration tools and practices.
