Job Overview:

We are seeking a motivated Field Engineer/Project Engineer to cooperate with superintendents in bringing success to our commercial and industrial construction projects. We are looking for highly motivated, professional, experienced Project Engineers to plan, manage, and supervise projects from start to finish.

Responsibilities:

• Project planning, scheduling, implementation and execution.
• Project budget and cost control.
• Perform weekly jobsite audits/inspections for safety, consumable inventory, housekeeping, and asset integrity.
• Ensure technical requirements of the project are being met with surveys, materials testing, GPS models and weekly job audits (pole probing, grade checking, etc.).
• Safety is our number one priority. Adherence to all health and safety standards are a must. You should be familiar with all safety aspects of a construction jobsite.
• Establish and maintain processes to manage scope of the project, track project performance with an eye on overall progress. Set project quality and performance standards and assess and manage risk within the project.
• Establish and maintain communication with project subcontractors, engineers, city officials, and client stakeholders throughout the project, providing any necessary day-to-day contact on project status and changes.
• Supervise team with ability to direct staff and assign duties and responsibilities. Manage your team with guidance, coaching, motivation, and education to strengthen their capabilities and skill sets.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineer, Construction Manager, Science, Math, or related.
• 1+ years of experience in a field setting (can be construction, oilfield, etc.)

Other Relevant Information:

• The office is located in Houston, TX.
• This role will be traveling 50-70% in the domestic US.
