We offer development across a broad range of project types in a dynamically expanding practice with excellent growth opportunities. This exciting role is perfect for someone with a strong background in fast-paced development of Construction Documents for repair of damaged residential and commercial buildings. The position delivers critical technical leadership across multiple concurrent projects while supporting long-term development of junior technical staff and key clients. Careers at Degenkolb are ideal for engineers with a strong background in structural/seismic engineering, and people who thrive working on multiple interesting projects, while investing time in mentoring junior technical staff to continue our culture of excellence.The requirements for the position are as follows: Bachelors Degree in Structural Engineering and 5-7+ years relevant experience Washington Civil Engineering license required; Oregon Civil Engineering license desired A background related to structural/forensics engineering and expertise in developing Construction Documents for repairs/modifications to existing buildings and performing Code-compliant structural calculations. Ability to work collaboratively with both senior and junior staff across multiple offices and remote working environments, to supervise and mentor junior technical staff, and to interact effectively with clients and project team members outside of the firm. Diverse working knowledge of steel, concrete, timber and masonry structural systems, as well as CAD and BIM platforms, is desired.
