Project Engineer (Geotechnical)

Will be primarily based in VIC. About the CompanyOur client is a Tier-1 contractor which focuses on cost-effective and sustainable approaches to enhance the stability of compressible soft soil foundations, minimizing the need for deep foundations. By merging innovative solutions with creative design, they aim to reduce geotechnical risks for their clients. Key Duties:Supervise site activities for assigned projects (including procurement, establishment, construction, verification, and handover phases).Guide site activities for assigned projects, ensuring timely, budget-compliant, and adherence to design, commercial, quality, safety, and environmental standards.Foster and uphold the company culture, encouraging positive client relationships throughout the project life cycle.Generate and sustain high-quality daily, weekly, and monthly reports in alignment with company standards, effectively managing daily project activities.Support the Project Manager (where assigned) and the Regional Manager.Execute a market strategy and enhance the company’s brand through industry networking and events. Collaborate with the Regional Manager to prepare and deliver technical presentations to prospective clients or key industry stakeholdersManaging third-party contracts with guidance from a senior engineer or project manager..Skills, Experience and Qualifications:Minimum 5 years in a similar role of which at least 2 years in a geotechnical and soil mechanics field as a site engineer.Bachelor in Engineering: Geo-technical or Environmental; Master degree preferred.Knowledge and application of Ground improvement techniques including CMCs, Jet Grouting, Anchoring, Stone Columns, Vibro Compaction, Soil Mixing, Slurry Walls, Dynamic Compaction amongst other key skills. Experience with AutoCAD programming is mandatory.Experience with Salesforce as a tendering system is preferred.Proficient in interpreting civil, survey, and structural drawings and technical documents.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Strong passion for working outdoors and with soil improvement.Proven track record of industrial project commissioning.Excellent ability to build productive professional relationships.Salary and Work Rights$150K - $160K + Super + Car allowance + annual bonus (performance based)Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents preferredHighly experienced and relevant offshore candidates are encouraged to apply.
