Project Engineer III

The Project Engineer III will be assigned to Engineering projects working closely with Plant Engineering Manager, Process Engineers, Maintenance, Continuous Improvement & Production Management, site personnel and contractors. This position will develop solutions and manage projects to address needs with production equipment and facility infrastructure.

20% Travel





This position is also eligible for bonus based on performance and subject to the terms of the Company’s applicable plans.

Project-related Engineering tasks such as understanding, developing and/or updating PFDs, P&IDs, Equipment & Instrument lists, General Arrangements, review of equipment and instrumentation, functional specifications, etc. as needed.





Preparation of Capital Request Documents, project justification information, tracking action items, recording and distributing meeting notes, updating project documents, project sharepoint / information management systems, OnBase Updates





Occasionally leading major multi-disciplined engineering projects with support from 3rd party engineering firms and/or internal engineering resources.





Updates and maintenance of Scope documents and processes including Requirements, Work Breakdown Structures, Scope Statements, Change management, etc.





Budget / Cost activities including updates and maintenance of Commitment Ledger, tracking of Receipts, invoice resolutions, spend forecasting, updating of PFP, contingency spend, etc.





Schedule activities including updates and maintenance of Milestones, Project Schedule, Critical Path, forecasting, slack time, etc.





Coordination and assistance with Safety & Regulatory activities such as MOCs, PHAs, Permitting, Construction safety planning, etc.





Coordination/Oversight of engineering and construction contractors.





Procurement Management activities such as RFQ/RFP editing, bid walks, bid evaluations and analysis, responding to RFIs, new vendor setup in procurement systems, vendor management, project inventory management, etc.





Monitoring and reporting of project progress, metrics, performance, standard compliance, etc.





Working as part of interdepartmental multi-disciplined project teams on larger projects and initiatives.





Responsible for personal safety and adherence with EHS procedures and promoting EHS adherence with others.





Identify Improvement Opportunities in existing manufacturing operations, and facility/safety systems.





Working with others, sometimes on emergency off-hours basis, to troubleshoot controls, process & equipment issues.





Minimum Requirements:





Must be at least eighteen (18) years of





Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future





Must have a bachelor's degree or higher or have at least four (4) years of work experience in Engineering





Must have three (3) years of experience managing projects in engineering or operations





Must have work experience managing projects of $1million or more from design through construction





Qualifications: 





At least have an Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering.





At least have one (1) year of work experience in a manufacturing and/or distribution facility.





At least have a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification





At least have Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt, Black Belt, etc.)





At least have work experience with OSHA Process Safety Management 1910.119
