Project Engineer - Intermediate
This position will require the candidate to have a strong technical background in the industrial market with a preference for mining and mineral processing experience. The position will be based out of Wood's St. John's, NL office and will involve periodic travel to client's sites. As the Project Engineer you will be responsible to develop the proposal and plans that will be used to execute Engineering deliverables to meet the needs of our clients. To aid in your success Wood has a cross-functional team of discipline Engineers, designers and technical support staff. You will need to utilize the team to meet the agreed upon scope, budget and schedule. A lot of the work will be brownfield engineering requiring coordination between owners, operators and construction contractors. The successful individual will need to have excellent skills in safety and risk management, communications, Engineering deliverable management, and attention to detail. Engineering Degree and Professional Engineer registered with the Professional Engineers & Geoscientists of Newfoundland and Labrador 7+ years of relevant Project Engineering work experience (PMP certification will be considered an asset) Understanding of design regulations for the mining industry in Newfoundland and Labrador environment is considered an asset Any equivalent combination of experience and / or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved may also be considered Must pass client medical requirements Must be able to provide a clear criminal background check Must be lawfully eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship from Wood undefined
