Role:

  • Supporting the Project Lead by providing Project Engineering expertise on marine construction projects and marine structural integrity projects.
  • Engage with site key stakeholders to plan and coordinate Sustaining Capital Project works with Site Maintenance activities (operating and shutdown).
  • Plan and coordinate Sustaining Capital Project works with Site Maintenance activities, both operating and shutdown.
  • Perform site inspections of contractor works, including planning, quality, progress, and change management.
  • Coordinate technical queries through the consultant and provide technical and site experience support.
  • Supporting the Project Lead, reviewing progress payment claims, reviewing project schedule compliance, providing monthly progress reports to internal stakeholders, and tracking the project budget.
  • Creating an accurate Project Budget and forecasting cash flow.
  • Creating a Project Schedule to meet required business deadlines.
  • Reviewing construction methodologies and tender documentation.

Brunel are seeking a Project Engineer (Marine) to join the team on a 12-month contract. The successful candidate will report into the Delivery Superintendent. You will embark on the first phase of a 5-year Sustaining Infrastructure campaign across multiple complexities Welding, Structural repair works and Coatings and Berth Outage Coordination.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Engineering (civil/structural/mechanical preferred) Or Trade Certifiate
  • Experience in the marine construction space or structural integrity space.
  • Must have a current right to work in Australia to be considered for this role.
  • 4-6 years experience
  • Excellent Knowledge of Primavera P6
  • Excellent knowledge of SAP
