About this role Delivering 4 Customers (D4C) is a consortium comprising of industry leading Tier 1 organisations – John Holland, Service Stream and WSP. Sydney Water has partnered with D4C to deliver design, construction, maintenance and facilities management services across their southern region - from Bondi to Gerringong, and out to Georges River. D4C is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to join our dynamic, diverse and high performing team in an exciting time of growth. We need your skills and expertise to help Sydney Water deliver a $34 billion dollar program over the next 10 years to build, maintain and protect the future of our iconic water resources. Primary Purpose This role will be an integral part of the project team owning the outcome for the construction delivery of allocated projects, focusing on the upgrade of pumps, pipework, switchboards, and valves on pumping stations, odour control and chemical dosing units. Key Accountabilities Supporting Construction Leads to ensure allocated projects are delivered to scope within time, cost, quality and regulatory standards Setting daily, weekly and long-term project programs to achieve required project outputs with plant, labour, materials and resources Monitoring and reviewing costs, invoices and claims for allocated projects Contributing to the constructability projects with respect to design development Undertaking tender, evaluation, and award of subcontract procurement packages Monitoring the quality and quantities of incoming equipment and material against drawings and specifications and arranging corrections or modifications as per Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) Analyse and use project documentation, progress reporting, and compliance reporting Manage the performance of subcontractors and the Self-Perform Workforce to successfully deliver work and project outcomes Liaise and coordinate with all external parties and relevant statutory authorities and manage their attendance on site as necessary Contribute to and foster a good safety, quality, environment and a community culture with a view to Delivering Differently Essential Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Science, Building Construction, Construction Management or equivalent Minimum 5-10 years' engineering experience NSW Drivers Licence White Card We welcome and encourage applications from diverse backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, LGBTQIA+, people with disability, people with caring responsibilities, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and veterans.
