Project Engineer - Project Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Project Manager / Project Engineer with experience in civil engineering design and surveying to oversee and execute projects from conception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in site development, infrastructure design, and land surveying, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, on time, and within budget.

Responsibilities:

• Manage civil engineering and surveying projects, including planning, design, and execution
• Perform site assessments, feasibility studies, and land surveys
• Develop detailed engineering designs, including grading, drainage, utilities, and roadways
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure successful completion
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, government agencies, and multidisciplinary teams
• Review and approve technical drawings, reports, and specifications
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
• Utilize CAD, GIS, and surveying software to produce accurate project documentation
• Provide technical guidance to engineering teams and field surveyors
• Conduct quality control checks and risk assessments throughout project phases
• Prepare and present project proposals, reports, and progress updates to stakeholders

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification
• Must have a minimum of 5 years proven experience in civil engineering design and land surveying
• Must have a valid drivers license and reliable means of transportation
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, and surveying software
• Strong understanding of site development, drainage, grading, and roadway design
• Excellent project management and leadership skills
• Ability to interpret engineering plans, survey maps, and regulatory requirements
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational abilities
• Experience working with municipalities, DOT, and land development projects is a plus
