Job PurposeThe Subsea Project Engineering Manager is responsible to Lead a multi-disciplined Engineering team through execution of assigned Project, Tender or FEED study. The overall purpose of the Subsea Project Engineering Manager is to: Delivering a technical system solution to meet customer project requirements, whilst maximizing execution efficiency and cost effectiveness Co-ordinating multi-discipline and multi-center Engineering teams Pro-active engagement and effective negotiation with multiple internal and external stakeholders Liaise directly with the customer on all key technical areas. Understand and discuss key technical, schedule and commercial requirements, project risks, challenges and installation, commissioning and production operations. Lead Front End studies as Study Manager Identify and report technology needs and R&D opportunities Support Sales and BD teams with technical advice. Job DescriptionThe responsibilities of the Subsea Project Engineering Manager include, but are not limited to:Lead by example and demonstrate commitment to Safety and Quality through actively driving the correct behaviors (in line with Core Values)Lead a multi-disciplined Engineering team through execution of assigned Project, Tender or Front end studyDeliver a technical system solution to meet customer project requirements, whilst maximizing execution efficiency and cost effectiveness. Drive innovative solutions to improve Project economicsEnsure compliance with design rules, procedures and project requirementsCreate, Review and Approve Engineering deliverable documentsEnsure all technical interfaces (internal and external) are identified and successfully managedAct as Technical focal point to the Customer for assigned Project, Tender or Front end study. Co-ordinate technical meetings with Customer, Suppliers and Contractors as required.Ensure effective communication and collaboration across the Project teamDevelop and align Project Engineering execution plans (Cost Time Resources, Document Register, Interface Register, Schedule etc.) and continuously monitor to ensure Engineering scope is delivered to planIdentify any engineering resource gaps and collaborate with Project Manager and Discipline Engineering Managers to resolve.Pro-actively address any Project non-conformances to ensure robust preventive actions are implemented and lessons learnt sharedSupport development of Engineering team through effective coaching and mentoringEnsure compliance to Engineering work processes (BPMS) and support continuous improvement of processes, in alignment with overall business goalsPrepare proposals and CTR’s for front end studies to be performed.Have specialist knowledge and experience within a particular technology discipline (i.e. controls, pipelines, flow assurance, ) Ensure system responsibility at Front end stage and manage handover to execution teams.On smaller studies (without dedicated Study manager) act as study manager and manage budget and schedule and reportingHave good overall knowledge of the TechnipFMC technologies and products that can be included within a subsea systemContinuously keep updated regarding the latest subsea technology and industry developments aspects You are meant for this job if:Must have: More than 10 years of Technical experience, 8+ years in subsea Good understanding of overall subsea systems Detailed knowledge of several subsea products and/or installation engineering Experience of leading an engineering team located in different locations Be able to establish deadlines and manage priorities for self and others. Negotiate technical solutions with client. Recommended formal education: Technical degree Required personal skills: Good communication skills in regional environments, both internally with peers/management and externally with clients.
