With a strong reputation for quality and reliability, they are looking for a Project Estimator (Commercial & Industrial) to join their team in Goodlettsville, TN. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with room for growth!
Job Overview
The Project Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for Division 7 construction projects. This role is ideal for someone with estimation training or previous experience, even if they are on the greener side. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a willingness to learn and grow within the industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and project documents to prepare accurate estimates
- Assist in the preparation of bids, proposals, and cost analyses
- Utilize estimating software ( experience with Stack) to create estimates
- Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to gather pricing and material information
- Maintain and update cost databases for labor, materials, and equipment
- Ensure estimates are completed on time and align with company and client expectations
- Participate in project handoff meetings to ensure smooth transitions from estimating to execution
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience in construction estimating or a related degree are required
- Familiarity or knowledge of Division 7 construction projects (waterproofing, fire protection, insulation, etc.)
- experience with Stack estimating software
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
