What will you be doing?
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and knowledgeable Project Manager to join our organisation and the projects function to deliver robust technology solutions to our customers. We are moving in to larger, multi-site market sectors and are looking for a Project Manager to provide our customers with a detailed, organised and structured plan for the implementation of Global 4 services and products. Project Management here is customer focused and we tend to take a flexible and pragmatic approach with enough rigour to ensure that: risks are identified and addressed early, resourcing and budget planning is effective, monitored and managed, project updates are relayed accurately to all stakeholders, and services are delivered to the highest standard. One thing we’re absolutely committed to is exceptional service.
The role will involve:
· Proactively manage a number of high-profile projects - coordinating both internal and external stakeholders
· Work closely with other project managers to ensure close collaboration and enhancement to project processes and documentation
· Liaise closely with the delivery function, to ensure provisioning is delivered in line with project timelines
· Ensure internal communication and collaboration across all teams, including sales, delivery, engineering and finance.
· Identify and manage risks to ensure delivery is on time
· Oversee and control any necessary changes throughout the process
· Understand, follow and help to enhance our PM Process
· Report regularly to management, teams and the customer
· Close the project - including evaluating successes and challenges to enhance learning for the teams next project.
· Ensure Projects are well defined, justified and successfully managed to enable the realisation of the benefits stated in the business case.
- Work effectively with the other project team members to ensure a ‘drum-beat’ is created to drive progress, robust decisions, and outcomes
- Support engagement, communication messages, flow and timing to both people and stakeholders
What do we need from you?
- Own and be accountable for projects through the whole project lifecycle
- Communicate, influence and build relationships at all levels within the organisation, our supply chain, and our customers. This includes relationship management of key stakeholders and senior managers
- Good business acumen
- Excellent attention to detail alongside first-class organisational skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills both verbally and in writing
- Relevant qualification in project management. Eg. Prince practitioner
- Proactive attitude & willingness to go the extra mile
- Proven ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast paced and changing environment
- Identify, understand and manage project issues and risks, develop constructive solutions and recommend or implement specific actions to address them, ensuring escalation where appropriate
- Ability to multi-task and to successfully manage multiple projects
- Knowledge of project management tools and techniques with a good understanding of their application and value
- Ability to work independently but effectively in a team environment.
